Job Title: Senior Project Leader

Position Summary:

We are looking for experienced hands-on project manager who has a proven track record of being solution and delivery focused, and who can perform at a high level leading strategic, cross-functional, business facing and technical initiatives. The selected candidate will manage complex software development, architecture, and integration projects in a fast paced, constantly changing dynamic environment


Key Responsibilities:

?        Direct and manage program development and implementation, including budget planning and preparation, business requirements and measurement metrics
?        Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with cross-functional and cross-operating company teams
?        Oversee the day-to-day progress of project(s) and release initiatives with regard to time, budget, scope and quality.
?        Develop working plans and associated communication documents in collaboration with cross-functional and cross operating company teams
?        Apply proven project management techniques, methods and tools Provide leadership, direction and integration activities to ensure successful implementation and support
?        Monitor and report to IT management on the status of project efforts (including weekly time reporting, weekly budget tracking, monthly forecasting, reconciliation and problem prevention/mitigation)
?        Partner in a cross-functional team to ensure that systems are developed to comply with architectural and testing standards and established methodologies
?        Aggressively manage risk and issues; and mitigation efforts as appropriate
?        Use innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems across technologies
?        Be a champion of best practices of the project management methodology, standards, technical, strategy, quality and change leadership/
?        Act as a role model for PM professionalism, critical thinking and setting productivity pace as well as promoting a financial focus with an eye on the ‘bigger picture’ always.
?        On some projects, manages and guides other Project Managers (very large projects where additional support is needed)
?        Provide status reports, presentations and demonstrations to all levels of management both within IT and business partner groups Manage internal as well as external resources.
?        Develop and document business requirements, including possible system applications


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
?        
?        Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
?        5+  years’ experience in Project /Program Management and execution
?        3+ years’ experience with ERP and SAP Project Management / Implementation.
?        Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
?        Experience with Microsoft Project and SharePoint Preferred.
?        Experience with budget/cost development and management required.
?        Strong process orientation necessary to understand project impact on existing and emerging operational processes.
?        40% Travel Anticipated.

?        Excellent problem solving skills and be able to think quickly and adeptly about how to address problems as they come up

?        Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and makes decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
?        Must be a self-starter & have excellent time management skills with the ability to balance priorities and work well under schedule pressures with great attention to detail.
?        Can operate effectively in collaborative and directive business environment and able to develop broad, cooperative relationships with diverse stakeholders and achieve results even with limited direct authority.
?        Possess strong leadership skills, along with ability to research, analyze, and recommend best practices
?        Advanced interpersonal skills; must be able to relate to others, to dictate responsibilities, to offer constructive feedback, and to support and encourage others.
?        Experience working with a technical and non-technical audience.


Key success Characteristics:

?        Accountable - Takes accountability for the success of the program and achievement of the business value. Understands desired business outcomes and how program drives them. Understands details of program. Continually evaluates program progress versus plan as well as benefit. Takes action to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
?        Collaborative – represents IT and business components effectively across all program stakeholders. Facilitates interaction, discussion and drives decisions required to meet program outcomes. Can interact effectively with business leadership, external and internal partners.
?        Pragmatic Problem Solver – demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and facilitate through to practical solutions. Looks to resolve, not to blame. Bases recommendations and decisions on facts.
?        Decisive – able to understand complex situations with multiple contributing factors and technical challenges, distill the situation to basic facts that can be understood by leadership, and recommend a logical course of action. Able to implement against and support decisions once made even in challenging and chaotic environments.
